MISSION STATEMENT

Liberty Not Lies is a multidisciplinary project mixing art, text, fashion and performance to make a difference for human rights. Our aim is to address social needs, create consciousness-raising, and spread awareness of human rights issues in order to create positive social change.

In a casual, contemporary pop-culture way, Liberty Not Lies provides a powerful way for people’s ideas and opinions to be seen and heard.

Liberty Not Lies provides possibilities for an interactive art form entwined with performance. This project offers individuals an active, dynamic and empowering way to express themselves artistically and intellectually through the performance of wearing these images out in the world. Performance often empowers the viewer as well as the performer. Individuals will observe Liberty Not Lies images in such a way that offers viewers the possibility to be exposed to and observe images they might not otherwise see—and thus to think about their meaning.
